April Blythe Meet: Plastics
These are the plastics. 26 all together, I think? I touched a princess ala mode!! Aahh.. She's so pretty. I don't think I'll ever buy her though. Unless the husband becomes very very very rich. The guy bought her for RM1600.00!!

You can't imagine the amount of people that came to snap photos of the dolls. They kept coming. Some even came up and posed with the dolls. A lot of people came up and asked us whether we were selling them. Hehe.
Can you guess which doll this beauty is? Right guess gets a surprise!
April Blythe Meet
Went to a blythe meet today. Finally got to meet the infamous Julia!! Hi! Julia!! *waves*
Yes, she really is that nice. She's as nice as she is on her blog. Maybe, even more so. hmm.. I am slightly disappointed that we didn't get to talk much. I must request that for the next blythe meet, it be made a some place where we can sit and have drinks and talk for hours. It is a bonding session after all.

Blythe Meet
Today I went for my first blythe meet ever! Initially I was afraid/nervous that I wouldn't be able to mingle but those fears were irrational. The meet was great, the people were great and we had a jolly good time fiddling with dolls.
The only downside of it is that I have a majorly upset tummy from drinking too much coke.
Oh, and yes, people stared. A lot.

They didn't tell me it was THIS slippery!
Is it bad that every time I update my blog I post about a new doll I just bought? Hmmm... Nah.. Don't think so. It just because I don't update often enough. Right?? Right.
So yes, I bought a new doll. Well, the darling husband did. He's so nice to me. He gets me and my weird obsessions. He feeds my weird obsessions, no questions asked.
She was cheap. I had to get her. And she's oh so pretty!! Lovely hair, lovely stock clothes. Such a dream. I think having a physical store that sells Blythe is bad for me. Being able to see a blythe up close just makes me want to buy them even more. Well, maybe that isn't true all the time since the Enchanted Petal does nothing for me. So maybe I am safe. (I hope)
Without further ado, here's Julie. Named after Claire Danes character in the Mod Squad. The husband named all the dolls. Isn't it nice that he share my weird obsession for Blythes?

Slippery slope
Sorry It's been so quite here. Lots of things happened in between leaving me no time, or desire to blog.
The husband will be starting a new job soon. Next Thursday in fact. Nothing too exciting but we're happy nonetheless.
The bug has taken to climbing nowadays. She will climb anything she can. Especially when you're not watching. What am I suppose to do to stop her from doing so? Today, while I turned away for a while, she climbed halfway up the stairs and was already at the landing when I looked. We do have a gate installed at the top and the bottom of the steps. So happened that the gates were opened at that point in time. She is quite careful about the climbing though. Doesn't mean I'm not worried.
Just finished knitting a baby hat that is to be gifted to someone. It only took be about a month. Hah! Slow poke. Might just be my short attention span.
I recently purchased 2 Dollcena's. For those not in the know, it's a doll that looks very much like a blythe which is produced by Tomy. The blythe doll is produced by Takara. But, Tomy and Takara recently joined forces so they're from the same company. The blythe doll is a doll with a big head and slim body. It's quite the thing to collect. I bought the dollcena because I am cheap and can't resist buying things on offer. The dollcena's were on offer and were going for RM75 for 2 whereas the cheapest blythe doll was RM60 each. You do the math.
This was my first foray into the world of big headed dolls anyway so I figured I'd start small. I didn't know there was a difference between the blythe dolls. It seems what you want to buy is the 12" dolls. The 4" dolls are for those who can't afford the 12" ones. The 12" dolls are going for RM300 each. I was surprised to see the price but after doing some research (okay, a lot of research. Fact, that's all I've been doing since I bought the dolls), the price is quite reasonable. I need to get one. Makes pleading face at the husband
They say, the world of blythe is a slippery slope and one is never enough. I'm sure I will be happy with just one. Right? Hmm..
Just realized I didn't blog about raya. Well, here's a quick recap. Spent 1st, 2nd and 3rd raya in Kedah. Yes, the journey back was a pain, highway jammed. Went back to JB on Thursday and was there till Monday. Iliya was sick most of the time in Kedah and slightly sick in JB. She's still having the sniffles but she's getting better.
The parents had a little open house on Saturday so I baked some cupcakes and cookies which were well received. The babe had a fun time playing with her second cousins but was very tired at the end of the day. Tired baby = Cranky baby.
Speaking of cranky, she's been rather clinging lately. Everyone says it's because she's unwell. I guess so. Maybe she's tired of being sick. I do hope it's temporary though because there are days when my patience is stretched thin.
Well, this is all I have to report for now. I'm sure I have some photos to post. Will do that when I find them.
