Where I talk about feeling better

Thanks for the concern girls. I'm much better, thanks.

Sorry gi, didn't knit anything for you. Not because I didn't want to but because I owe my mum something and she 'reminded' me about it over the weekend so I got straight to work. I'll knit something for you soon. How does a womb sound? Kidding. Unless you really want one.

I managed to get better all by myself. Didn't even go to the doctor, much to the chagrin of my parents. Heh. I didn't avoid the doctor for any particular reason. Was just busy and the timing was never right. Finally got better without the visit so that's that.

I fixed the throat with apple cider vinegar. That thing stinks to the high heavens but I think it works wonders cause the pain subsided vastly after drinking 2 cups of it the first day. The husband can't stand the smell but I still managed to make him drink 3 2 cups of it when he got sick. Yup. He caught the bug.

For those interested in treating their sore throat with it here's the recipe:

1 Tbsp ACV
1 Tbsp honey
1 cup warm water

you may also add cayenne pepper to the concoction as the pepper is said to cure sore throats as well. It gives the drink that extra zing. I added it in my milo and it tasted quite good. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a weak stomach though cause it'll prolly make you visit the loo alot.

I do have an aching ribcage from all the coughing that I did. Which is weird in my opinion since I don't think I coughed that much or that violently. The doctor did give me some meds for the pain when I accompanied the husband to the doctors last Friday for his MC and meds. I didn't take them though. Was too lazy. The pain seems to be going away on its own anyway.

Was back in Malacca over the weekend visiting the parents. Didn't do much other than eat and shop. What we normally do. I do look forward to the weekends back to Malacca though cause it gives me a break from looking after the bug. Not that I'm complaining or anything but it's nice to have some time to do the things I like to do. i.e. watch movies without having a tiny person climbing all over me. My parents are also more than happy to take her from me so it's a win win situation.

The bug is now pulling herself up. She has gotten quite good at it but hasn't quite mastered the going back down slowly bit. She'll just let both her hands go and fall back/sideways/on her ass and cry. She's knocked her head so many times against the cot's railing/headboard. I hope it doesn't leave any permanent damage. She doesn't seem to link the letting go with the falling part though and just keeps on doing it. Do they ever learn or do they just grow out of it?

She has been doing a lot of night waking too. I wonder whether it's just her being clingy or whether there's something that's bothering her. How to tell? She hasn't been crying excessively or acting weak and listless so I can't tell if there's anything wrong. Maybe it's just a phase.

I knitted my mom a coin purse on Sunday and completed it today. Well, almost. It didn't actually take me 3 days to knit. Just that I didn't knit that much on Monday. All that's left to do is sew up the bottom and add some lining and make a chinese knot to add as a button. I quite like the end product and may just make one for myself. Or anyone else that wants one. I'll snap photos once I'm done. I made up the pattern all by myself so I'm extra proud of it. *insert girly giggle*

I think I like small projects. It gives me instant gratification that is lacking from large projects. The only 'large' projects I've ever made is a baby sweater, 2 scarves and a stocking. Yup, 1 stocking. Was suppose to be a christmas gift for someone but didn't get around to giving it cause it wasn't completed in time. This year perhaps. When I get around to stitching the details on. Might knit a cardigan or two depending on how motivated I am.

Must rush off to bed before the bug wakes up again.
