Contains lots of whining

I am sick.

The entire family is sick, actually. Don't know how it happened but it did. I fell sick over the weekend and am still in the thick of it.

My throat hurts like nobody's business. I've been sucking on all sorts of lozenges but nothing is helping. This sucks. Ha ha! I hate sore throats. Give me a fever any day but not sore throats, anything but.

I was hoping that it wouldn't develop into a full blown one but it did. No amount of Ho Yan Hor could keep it away. Probaby because the virus has been hanging around for about 2 weeks now. Was bound to catch it sooner or later.

I was wondering whether I wanted to blog about it or not. Finally decided to do so since I've not whined for a long while. My blog is not my blog without the ocassional whining.

The baby is doing well though, which is good. Better me sick than she.

I've not been sick in a long while, so I guess this is long overdue. I didn't fall sick the entire 9 months that I was pregnant and have hardly fallen sick the past 7 months. Wow! When I put it like that, that's like a year and 4 months on being healthy! Yay me!

Spent the weekend in malacca with the family. Managed to buy some books from MPH since they were having a sale. Needless to say I was very happy with my purchases and put one of the books to good use immediately. I bought an Origami book and a Japanese sewing book. Sometimes I feel origami is so overrated nowadays but my love for this paper folding craft dates back to the time when my age was only a single digit. The book I bought also had a 30% discount sticker on it. Origami + discount, how could I resist?

The japanese book is really adorable. I did ponder much longer on whether to buy it or not because it had no discount. Notice the fact that it was entirely in japanese didn't bother me at all? I bought it in the end because the patterns were so cute and I think it's about time I purchased a japanese book cause I love their craft so much.

I am planning on making some things from the book soon as I feel better. I loved the books so much I went through them several times.

Other than that, nothing new to report.

The bug turns 7 months tomorrow. Yay!

hey babes. hope that you get better soon. and since it's the throat that is sore and not your hands, you might as well stitch / knit something for me while you're waiting to get well =)

Forget your weak puny lozenges.

Evil Godma orders:
Two glasses of water with a tablespoon of honey first thing in the morning. Repeat every few hours.

Gargle mouth with Listerine before bed and after.

Sure remedy.

Have been working for me since I don't have Ho Yan Hor (which I detest with a capital 'BLEGH').

And don't give me that face

I feel much better so I shall keep your honey water concoction for another day. :D

I've been drinking Ho Yan Hor for so long that I've grown immune to the taste. It doesn't bother me that much anymore.

What face?? The only FACE I give is an adorable lovely face, thankyouverymuch.
