Mable's left for Australia. She left last Thursday. I managed to finish the scarf and give it to her at the airport. Don't be fooled by the 0% progress over there on the right. I'm too lazy to update the template. Even Mable was surprised I finished it. Cis. Underestimate my abilities.
I did go to the doctor's the following Sunday after my 7 month post but I forgot to blog about it. So I'll do it now. The baby is growing well. She weighed 1.6kg at the time of visit. My weight didn't go up by much though. The doctor said I only put on 1kg. I think their scale is broken. I checked my weight 2 days ago and I'm now 55kgs.
Will be going to visit her again this Sunday. My visits are now once every 2 weeks. There's 8 weeks left in my pregnancy. Hmm.... 8 more weeks and I'll be in a labour(sp?) room screaming my head off, or hopefully not. Don't think I want to scream my head off. A 'silent' delivery ala Katie Holmes would be nice. Thank you very much. Perhaps she was gagged cause I'm sure being in labour would casue some sort of pain right?
I'm not worried though. Don't know why, but I'm just not.
Maybe I should be evaluated?
Debenhams was having their closing down sale last weekend. The husband and I went of course and we purchased clothing for the parasite. The discounts were quite good. We got 1 dress for a wedding in March 2007, 1 pair of shoes, a t-shirt and pants set, 1 pair of pants and a tee shirt. All for RM191 after discounts. The price before discount was around RM400?? Something around there. So I was pretty happy with our purchases.
It's sad though, that Debenhams is closing. Their baby clothes are so cute. Oh well.
Oh, I have to mention the new game I discovered some time last week. It's called, where's the baby? It was all unexpected though. I was lying in bed one evening with the husband next to me. I think we were preparing for bed? Anyway, I started feeling around my belly and I touched something hard. So I pressed down abit and it ran away!! I figured I must have touched the parasite's limbs or head, or butt. So I started feeling around for more 'hard spots' and pressed some more. The parasite kicked in retaliation, or perhaps she was joining in the fun. I don't know.
Either way, that is now my regular, if not daily night time ritual. Playing "where's the baby?" I still can't tell what I'm touching cause they basically all feel the same. I do know for certain that the bigger rounder one is probably either the head or the butt, but I can't tell the other parts apart. They all feel the same to me.
Don't worry. I don't press too hard so I doubt I'm harming the baby in anyway. I normally press with 3 fingers and I don't press down too hard so she's fine. She doesn't kick much these days cause it's probably getting quite cramped in there. There's alot of twisting and moving around though. Sometimes, it feels like she's turning around on my bladder. Perhaps its fun? Not for me though.
Will be checking out carseats for the baby tomorrow, hopefully. If nothing gets in the way. So many things to buy, so little time, or money. :p Now I understand why my parents kept telling me to buy a little at a time earlier on in the pregnancy. It's so that we don't get so overwhelmed when the time comes.
Should have listened to them. Parents knows best. But other people kept telling it's too early and all that. That's why I didn't put much thought into it. This is what happens when you listen to people other than your parents.
No room for regrets here. Live and learn.
