She kicks!

I read online that you should monitor how many times the parasite kicks you everyday to determine if the parasite is healthy and doing well.

If the kicking is any indicator, I think it's safe to say that the parasite is as healthy as a horse, and kicks like one too! She kicks my ribs, my sides, my back, my bladder (which makes me want to pee everytime she does it) and my stomach. I'm pretty sure the tenderness I'm feeling in my sides is because of her.

She kicks me on the average of about 35 times every morning in the short span of 2 hours.

I'm not complaining though. The kicking tells me that she's there, and awake.

Today, her kick got more forceful. I think it has something to do with the fact that we're in our 23rd week which means her cartilage bones are now turning into 'bone' bones. Confused? It's okay.

My belly seems to be getting bigger too. One night, as I was lying in bed staring at my belly, the husband came into the room, and I asked him, "when did it get this big?". Because I don't remember it gradually growing. It's as if it just got big all of a sudden.

I'm running out of decent clothes to wear.

Last Friday, we had a wedding to attend. I was staring at my wardrobe trying to decide what to wear. I dawned on me that I didn't have much of a choice. I can no longer fit in any of my kebayas and most of my kurungs weren't nice enough for weddings. So I only had 2 to choose from. 1 of which I had just recently worn to my friend's wedding.

It was rather comical really, when I tried on my kebaya. The top half would button up, but when it came to my belly, the kebaya just flared open, exposing my belly. My my, what a sight I would be if I wore that.

It doesn't matter much though. How often do I attend weddings anyway?

By next month, I don't think I'll be able to fit in my kurungs anymore either. I'll just have to resort to wearing my blouses. It's only temporary after all.

It's nice to know that the parasite is growing though. I'm paranoid by nature and I worry over most everything.

The next few months will be a busy time for me. Lots of preparing to do for the impending arrival of the parasite.

We finally started shopping around for things. We haven't bought anything yet though. Need some time to think and ponder before investing so much money into an item. Will go back to the store by the end of the month.

Parasites are expensive!!

I figure The Parasite is a pretty good name, don't you think? All she does is take, after all. :p

Seriously though, if she indeed is a girl, then it's going to be Nurul Iylia. If she turns out to be a boy, it'll be Mohd Daniel/Danial. Not quite sure about the spelling.

We wanted simple names. Those are simple enough I suppose.
