Yup. We're now six months along. It won't be long now. 3 more months and baby will be here.
Nothing spectacular to report. Well, maybe that I've been eating so much lately that it's starting to scare me. I'm eating more than the husband now!!
We were back in JB for the weekend. As usual, my parents were feeding me a lot and I ate most of it. The husband also says I eat a lot now. I am eating for two.
The parasite has been kicking regularly. She will start kicking around 11:30 every night like clockwork because that's the time I go to bed. She'll start even when I'm not in bed.
She was kicking my bladder all the way from Shah Alam to Malacca. Thank goodness the drive isn't that long. Surprisingly, she stopped when we arrived Malacca. Mischievous thing, this parasite.
Will be seeing the doctor end of this month. Can't wait. Get to see the parasite again and what she's been up to. According to the experts, she should be gaining weight now and her body should be proportionate now.
She's still moving around a lot, that would mean there's still lots of room in there. I can tell, cause her kicks come from all directions. I must say though, her favorite spot to kick is my right side. It's always my right side, or my right ribs.
She'll only kick my bladder when I'm in the car about to travel long distance.
My belly has been getting bigger I suppose, but I haven't snapped any photos yet. I'll get to that soon. The last I measured, my belly was 33 inches? It should be bigger now.
Some time 2 weeks back, I told the husband to try and listen for the heartbeat. He said okay, and proceeded to put his ear on my belly. The first time he tried, he didn't hear anything, so he repositioned his ear again, the moment he put his head on my belly, the parasite decided to kick.
Needless to say, the husband got a kick in the face from the parasite. I told him he was lucky. I couldn't get kick in the face even if I wanted to. I can only feel her kicks when I put my hand on my belly, that's about it.
The parasite seems to love KFC for some reason. I guess it has something to do with KFC's tag-line, "Idamanku Selalu". Each time I have KFC, she'll perk up and start kicking up a fuss. That must mean she's excited. She sure loves her chicken.
My weight has not gained that much, thankfully. I was afraid that I'd put on too much weight. Don't want to put on more weight than needed. The last I checked, I was 52 kilos.
My belly button seems to be protruding more and more as the days progress. Some say that's an indicator that I might be carrying a girl. I'm won't be quick to believe that though. It's all old wives tales really.
I found that if I tap my belly with my fingers, the parasite will kick back. That must mean that she now responds to sound. Interesting. I wonder what will happen if I play the soundtrack of Bad Boys 2 to her. I've tried it before but there was no response. Perhaps now I might get a response.
My father finally realized that I've gotten big. He said to me over the weekend, "wow, you've really gotten fat huh?". Guess I'm finally looking the part of pregnant lady.
My mom was quick to respond, "don't call her fat lah, or she'll stop eating." hehe. True, that.
My father explained that he didn't mean I was fat but rather, I have gotten big. Yes, that I have.
I found a small hole in my only pair of maternity pants. When did that happen? It's small and near the waist band. It looks like the holes cockroaches leave in clothing. Wonder if it was gnawed by a roach.
Darnit. And those pants were super expensive. They costed what, RM150? It was suppose to last through to the 2nd child at least. The first one isn't even here yet and it's already got a defect.
My water retention problem isn't that bad anymore. I prop my legs up everytime I can so I reduce the effects. It doesn't eliminate the problem entirely though. I still have sore feet but it doesn't bother me much anymore.
What's been bothering me is my right heel. Out of the blue, it started hurting like nobody's business last Sunday evening while I was out with the husband and my sister. I had to limp because walking normally hurt. The pain didn't go away and it's still here now. It has subsided considerably but it's still there.
This is all for now. Will post the ultrasound photo once I get it next week. Belly photos will be up soon hopefully.
