The big wave..

It's been four days, since it occured. Plenty of casualty all around. All I can do is just watch the news and thank god nothing happened to me or my family. It's sad, and also shocking. Who'd think malaysia would be affected by such phenomenom. I was reading The Star the other day. A hawker said, He saw the wave coming, and he tried to warn the picnickers. But they just ignored him. Guess it was fated for those who died, to die that way. Hope they're in a better place.

And another thing. You know how we always think that bad things only happen to other people. Well, one of my distant relatives was one of the victims. She was the sister-in-law of my uncle from my husband's side. That was another shocker. It's kind of scary when I think of it. After hearing the news from my mother-in-law, I couldn't help but wonder whether the lady that was being carried on a stretcher cover with a 'kain batik' was her. The caption said, that picture was taken from Kota Kuala Muda, where the deceased lived. May god have mercy on her.

I hope the surviving victims are found and the deceased are laid to rest soon. On the news this morning, the reporter was saying that there were plenty of dead bodies lying around where he was at, and most of them were already decomposing. One can only imagine the stench. One has to wonder why the bodies have not been taken away.

Hope things get better soon..
