I don't eat candy that much but there are some which I cannot resist. This is one of them. I started eating these when I was still a kid. Back then it was a much looked forward to treat whenever we went to a shopping mall. The mall became rundown and was taken over by xtra. Suffice to say, I couldn't find it anymore.
Until now! We were at The Gardens last Thursday and I asked the husband to go to Shojikiya. They had any japanese snack imaginable and it was so nice being surrounded by such cute packaging. Then I saw it. It was on a shelve lying with a mixture of candy and mints. The packaging had changed but I was sure it was the same candy that I used to love.
I immediately grabbed 2 tubes and handed them to the husband excitedly. The moment the husband paid for it, I opened one tube and popped one in my mouth. Sure enough, it was the same candy. I was super happy. I told the daughter she could only have one because 'these are mommy's'. (She's had more than one)
I'm so glad I finally found it again. Now I just hope the shop doesn't go out of business anytime soon.
