Life in weeks

That's how I've been living my life. In chunks of 7 days. Every 7th day, I'll go to the doctor to check up on the parasite.

It really makes the time go by quite fast. Truth be told, I'm ready to go into the whole labor thing right about now.

Pregnancy is starting to take a toll on me. I go to sleep only to wake up more tired. The normal ailments include leg cramps, shoulder pain, back pain and generally a feeling of heaviness.

The parasite is doing well. She's now 2.8kg. That was last Wednesday. Will be going to the doctor tomorrow to check up on her again. Will see if she's charted a weight growth. She put on 400gms in a week the last time. If she keeps up this trend, she'll probably weight above 3kgs. That explains my back pains.

She was also in the breech position the last time doctor scanned me. The doctor was a little concerned and mentioned that if she doesn't turn by this week then we might have to expect a c-section. The husband isn't too pleased with the idea of me being cut up. There isn't much we can do though as this is beyond our control. The decision to go head-down is totally up to the parasite and so far, she has refused to do so.

I suppose I shouldn't be worried, (not that I am) as many women have gone through multiple c-sections. So it's nothing new, or rare. As long as the baby is safe.

I can feel all her movements now. Every turn, every kick, every hiccough. I'm sure it's not all that comfortable in there for her either. Her living space is getting cramped. She turns about a lot but it isn't uncomfortable for me so it's okay. Well, except maybe when she's shoving her limbs into my ribs.

everybody is anxiously waiting for the arrival of the parasite. Especially my in laws because they're leaving for Jakarta on the 20th and will be there a week. They're hoping that the baby might come before they leave. I however think the parasite wants to be fashionably late.

We've bought the cot and it's all set up in the corner of the bedroom. I have been meaning to snap a photo of it but I have no idea where the camera is. It's somewhere downstairs, that's for sure. The cot and all it's bedding is from Ikea, as planned. The nephew was really curious about it when he saw it. He kept peering inside, trying to find the baby. Heh.

He thinks I'm hiding the baby under my shirt.
