Warning: This post may prove to be too gross to some people so proceed with caution.
Right, now that you've been warned I can continue.
Went to the doctor on Monday night, after Aznin got back from work. My back was hurting a little more than before. It could be because I went to the playground and was running around a lot chasing a toddler.
Aznin reached home at 8 p.m. He had called earlier to ask me to get dressed and ready to go to the doctors. So I got ready and went outside, locking the door behind me. It was only after I locked the door that I realized Aznin could possibly still be a long way from home. damn. Too bad. Just wait outside and snap random shots of the house and gate. Make it look like I meant to wait outside in the dark. :p
So, we reached the doctors, I filled out a form and waited for my turn. Was anticipating being scolded by the doctor for seeing her the second time for the same problem. Sure enough I was. I told her I was suffering from back pains again. She asked if it was like the last time? I told her no, it was milder.
She asked me whether I've been drinking enough water. I told her yes. She said she can't believe I don't drink lots of water cause chinese usually drink lots of water. Then she told me a story of how a Malay teacher teaching in a chinese school was told to not stop students from going to the bathroom often or drinking in class. The teacher asked why do they drink so much water? The principal said, because chinese believe if they drink lots of water, it would 'cair kan otak' (I don't know how to translate that. A direct translation would be liquidify. Which I doubt is correct.) and make the lessons be absorbed easily.
hmmm.. I'm a chinese and I never knew such a thing. No wonder I'm not a smart student. Otak tak cukup cair. :p
Anyhoo, I had to give a urine sample. Went to the bathroom, no lights! Great. I did everything in the DARK. It's hard enough peeing in a cup with lights on, try it with no lights. Bound to miss. (which I did) Got enough in the cup, carefully washed my hands and the cup and brought it back to the doctor.
I looked at it and it was rather cloudy. Had a feeling the doctor was going to give me a disapproving look. I got more than a look. I also got reprimanded. She said, "Ni tak payah pakai stick pun dah tau ada UTI ni." Erkk.. She tested it anyway. The stick confirmed her suspicions. She said there was pus cells in it. Eww.. Pus = Infection. My pee didn't smell though?
She gave me some antibiotics and anti spasm pills and ural. Told me to drink lots of water cause frequent UTI could lead to kidney stones. *shiver* Must drink lots of water. Also told me to drink AT LEAST 15 glasses of water per day. I feel like a camel now.
I still have some antibiotics left. Enough for another 2 days. I hope the infection clears away and leaves no traces. I did catch a sample of my urine earlier today and it seemed clear.
Well that's the end of my utterly gross post. Sorry if it made anyone uncomfortable. You were warned.

I wasn't uncomfortable. Just wondering about pus in urine though.
What's there to wonder bout? There's pus in the tract, and it needs to go somewhere.
Better down than up I say.
i heard from my colic that if you've had it once, there is a higher possibility that you might contract it again.
do what the doctor says and listen to mabs for advice. not becoz she has been through it, but, just listen to her.
Yes mummy. I'll try to be very camel like from now on. :) Thanks for the concern.
