Updates

It's been a while since I last updated. Well, I was busy with my exams last 2 weeks. After the last paper on Tuesday, I rested a bit and then I was off to Malacca with my husband to spend the rest of the week with my family.

The Tuesday paper was all right I think? I don't want to say I did great cause I am not sure how I did. I did however manage to answer all the questions in the paper. We'll know when I attend class this Thursday. It was a relief though, to finally sit for it cause I've been studying quite a lot for that paper. Still have the finals to worry about now.

On Thursday, I went back to Malacca with my husband. We drove to Malacca. We had a blast. We went to Malacca to meet my family. They went back to Malacca to clean up my grandma's house since we are no longer renting it out. I woke up around 10 in the morning that Thursday, Aznin had woken up earlier. After showering, I began to start packing our clothes for the 4 day stay in Malacca. Although I was aware that my mummy was bringing our clothes from Johor, I decided to pack my own anyway, since I'm paranoid and all. I think I have a mild case of OCB. Around 12 noon, I got a call from my sis, telling me that they have already left Johor. Hmmm.. time to hustle.

Finally got everything ready at about 1 p.m. Final bag count, 2 bags of clothes, 1 bag with notebook and misc charges and about 6 pairs of clothes on hangers. All that for only 4 days. Oh well, better more than less, right? Left the house a little after 1. Went to Shah Alam Mall for lunch. Had lunch at CHI. The place was packed. We had to wait close to an hour for our food. Maybe it wasn't that long, I forget. But we were still eating at 2 and we only ordered 4 types of dishes. My sis called around 2, asking our whereabouts and informing us that they had arrived Malacca. (",) Told her we were having our lunch and would be on our way soon.

After a quick stop at the pharmacy to get some meds, we were finally on our way. We drove to Banting and we got a little lost. Instead of heading to Morib, we went to Jugra instead. But we saw a really pretty house and that more than made up for it. It was really hilarious and we had loads of fun being lost. We cracked silly jokes and just enjoyed each others company. We weren't stressed or anything like that so it was all good.

After getting lost again near Seremban, and at an fork that goes to either Kuala Linggi or Alor Gajah, we finally reached Malacca at around 6-ish. Good thing we were well stocked up on water and munchables. We shared a packet of picnic chochettes and a BBQ Chicken Pau bought at CHI. Passed by Kuala Sungai Baru, I saw the row of shops owned by my uncles and realized we were in my kampung. Called my dad to inform him that we would be arriving shortly. Saw another pretty house on a hill along the way. It was pretty, but a little to extravagant for my taste. I wouldn't wanna have to maintain such a big house. Imagine the cleaning up I'd have to do??? Yikes..

Since we didn't know how to get to my grandma's house, we went to Tesco instead, to meet up with my family. Stopped by a mosque in Pantai Klebang for prayers and continued on to Tesco. Finally met them at around 7 something. They prayed their Isya' and we went to muar for dinner. Had seafood, the usual. Had to wait for quite some time for the food to arrive cause there was quite a crowd.

Finished dinner at around 11. Drove to Masjid Tanah cause we were staying over and a friend's house. Arrived close to 12, showered and slept.

The following day, we went to clean up the house. Spent the whole day there. Daddy washed the inside of the house, carrying out the necessary rituals to make sure the house is properly cleaned. The rest of us cleaned up the garden. Sis, Aznin and I cut down a guava tree while my mother swept the rubbish up. We also lifted 2 huge-ass tractor tires out of the way. The amount of cockroaches living under the tires were just terrifying. I was so afraid they'd climb on me. I was lucky, mummy on the other hand wasn't that lucky. 2 roaches decided to climb onto her. ewwww.. she started screaming. Hehe.. We decided to burn the suckers to kill them so we started a fire made up of dried leaves and paper ontop of their home. Teehee..

Finished cleaning up at around 8 p.m. Went to Mahkota parade to see a friend. Well, the parents went to see the friend, we went to Starbucks to get our fix. After a hard days work, we deserved a Rhumba Frapp. Had dinner at a roadside food stall. food was crappy, but it was cheap, so, not that bad. Finally went to bed at around 12.

The next 2 days didn't involve much work. Took measurements for the house to give to the contractor later. We'll be getting a contractor to do up the house. It's in pretty bad shape and a lot has to be done to make the place liveable in. Went to Nusa Orchard in Kuala Sungai Baru to look at houses. The houses were nice and the price was all right. Parents are thinking of buying, but nothing is set yet. I think they might be moving to Malacca. Not sure, but anything is possible since they have to obligations in Johor. Time will tell. I wouldn't mind living in Nusa Orchard though. The place is nice and seems safe too. Away from the pollution and traffic jams. We'll see.

Left Malacca around 6. Took the old road back to KL. Stopped by in Seremban at around 8 for dinner and a quick rest. Seremban traffic sucks. Finally arrived Shah Alam at 11.

We saved quite a lot because we took the old roads to Malacca and back. We spent a total of RM 4.70 on tol money and 1/1/2 tank of petrol. Cheap huh?? So from now onwards, we'll probably be taking the old roads to Malacca. Got to save where we can.

So that's my weekend. Kind of long, I know. But it could be longer. (",)
