Hmm.. pain killer, good.
I went to see the doctor today. I'm glad I did. I've been having severe back pain since Monday. Initially, I thought it would just go away, but as the days proceeded, it didn't seem to get any better, infact, it got worst. Last night was bad. I couldn't sleep because of the pain. All I could do was lie in bed wide eyed, bearing the pain. I changed my sleeping positions countless times, just to find one that would reduce the pain. Nothing worked. So, it went on till morning. My dear husband was taking me to the doctors today to find out what was wrong. So I got up at 8a.m. and took my shower. Even walking hurt. I think it's safe to say that my condition became worst.
I went downstairs to drink some water for I was sure I was going to be made to pee while I was there. My father-in-law asked me where it hurt. I told him my back. He suggested going to 'urut' it. Hell no! The last time I went to 'urut' I ended up crying like a baby, because it hurt oh so bad. I'm not going to go through that again. Nuh-uh, not if I can help it. It was sweet of him though, to be concerned for me. He seldom speaks to me, but that showed me that he cares. It's not that he's unfriendly, but I guess it's because he doesn't know what to say.
So anyway, after drinking my water, we set off to the doctor's. We made a quick stop to the bank first, to withdraw money to pay the doctor. Heh.. So we went on our way. We were the first people in the clinic. The nurse asked me what I wanted. Hmm.. I said, I wanted to see the doctor. Duh! Then she asked me where I was from. I was befuddled. How do I answer that? I looked at my husband, and he looked back at me. Both unsure how to answer. Well, I finally told her shah alam. My husband made a joke, but it failed to get through to the nurse. She has no sense of humor. After filling in the card, we sat down to wait to be called.
... Pn Nurul. Hehe.. That's the first time anyone has ever called me Puan. Kind of weird hearing that. A good weird though. The doctor asked me what was wrong. I told her my back hurt, she asked me to pee in a cup. I obliged. It's kind of challenging peeing in a cup. I must tell you that. You want to make sure you get the pee IN the cup and not on the outside of the cup or even worst, on your hand. Well, I got most of it in the cup, some of it on my hand *eeewww* and the rest of it in the toilet. After washing my hand and the cup, I brought the sample back to the room. It was a cloudy color. Gross. My husband thought it was gross too. The doctor put some strips in the sample to check for acidity and what nots. Good thing is that I know for sure that I'm not diabetic. No sugar in pee. hehe. After checking the sample, she told me I had UTI (urinary track infection). She explained to me the medication that she'd be giving me, gave me some advise and told me to come back in a weeks time. After getting the medicine and paying, we went home.
My husband sent me home and went off to work. I had my breakfast and took my medication and tried to go to bed. Couldn't sleep though. My back was hurting really bad. I finally caved and took the pain killer that was given. About an hour later, the pain was gone. Or, dulled? Ahh.. miracle pill. I like. I'm feeling better now. I'll just have to make sure I don't forget to take my antibiotics. I hope my UTI problem will finally go away. Cause it sucks! Oh well.. Should be more camel like. Drink more water!!
Guess I'll know if my condition has improved next Thursday.
