Rants, of sorts.

Yes!! Here I am. Once again. I know it's been a long silence, since my last post, but I've been busy. And that, my friend is no excuse, but a fact. Ask anyone. Two weddings and a honeymoon. Told you I was busy.

I was out with my friends last saturday. I wanted to give them their gifts I had gotten for them from bali. So we planned to meet up and A&W in SS13. Haha, we got our signals mixed up and I ended up going to the wrong A&W. cacat man. We finally met anyway.

But that's not what I want to talk about. One of my friends has a blog too. She updates it often. Unlike me. So, my other friend said something that felt as if it was meant for me, although it was a general remark. She said, most people only keep their blog for about a few days, that get lazy and forget about it. Sounds about right. So, I shall try to be more diligent. Oh, for those who are interested in reading my friend's ramble about life and hamsters, go to http://gilliebean.blogspot.com

I recently got back from my honeymoon. Last thursday to be exact. It was a wonderful experience, the honeymoon that is, not the getting back. THAT, was a drag. For those curious minds, we went to bali for our honeymoon. Stayed in a 3 bedroom villa and had a large pool to swim in. I can't swim, but it's pretty damn cool to have such a large pool right outside your bedroom. They even had a kitchenette, for those who are interested in testing out their cooking skills. I didn't cook though. I'm on my honeymoon for goodness sake.

Bali is a nice place to be in. Very slow paced and the weather isn't so scorching hot either. There's a nice cool breeze even on the streets, thanks to the beaches near by. If you're into furniture, Bali is the place to be. The stuff is pretty and cheap. Great combo eh? Yup. Bali is full of westerners too. My husband and I was in a restaurant one night having dinner. After sitting down awhile, I realized that all the other tables were filled with "Mat Salleh's". We were the only black haired people in that establishment, minus the workers, of course. We felt as if we were in a western country all of the sudden. We didn't shop that much. It's all about self control. haha. Not. More like, not wanting to blow our budget. But RM 500.00 will get you quite a lot. That would amount to RP 1,100,000.00 We were instant millionaires. You have to know how to bargain though, otherwise, you'll be slaughtered. everything is priced at about 50% more than it's actual market price. We didn't do much bargaining though. 1. because it was not required.. (we entered fixed priced shops, mostly) 2. because we suck at it. (shy la!) We also quickly came to the conclusion that we suck at being tourists too. Why do I say so? Well, because tourists should be eager to go everywhere and anywhere and try anything. We're not tourist material I think. We're either too lazy or just couldn't be bothered. Isn't that the same thing? hah!

niweys.. enough about my shopping escapade. My life hasn't changed that much. except maybe for the fact that I now get to spend my days with the person I love. Which is really nice. he he. I think I'll stop here now. Attached is a nice photo of my hubby and I on our wedding day. Enjoy!

p.s, after being 'told off' by my friend, I've decided to post a link to my wedding's events from her blog. here it is. Two weddings and a honeymoon - by Gillian Loh
